Higher Level Coaching and Mediation a boutique coaching, mediation, hr and operations consulting firm founded in 2010 by Karen Taylor-Liggins. We are committed to helping individuals and businesses looking for support and finding solutions for HR/ operations management, mediation, and neurodivergent leadership development utilizing a mindful approach for the best strategic outcomes. 

Our coaches and consultants are experts in mindfulness practices and strategies that are focused on sustained leadership development that is current, trauma-informed, positive, strengths-based, and culturally relevant from a DEI(B) perspective. 

Our team specializes in Neurodivergent Leadership Coaching, Executive Coaching, Conflict Resolution, and HR Strategy. We are professional facilitators, speakers, and mediators with a unique perspective on the role of human capital in synergy with bottom-line results.

Our Founder and CEO


Karen Has spent 20+ years in various roles of increasing responsibility in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. She is an expert in HR Organizational Development, Operations, Managed Care, and Nonprofit Leadership. She is a strategic thinker that often utilizes a systems approach to managing organizational challenges and empowering leaders. Karen is a 2013 LLM graduate of the prestigious University of Missouri School of Law Dispute Resolution program where she trained in conflict resolution, civil and family mediation, and arbitration. Karen received her professional coach training from the Melbourne, Australia based International Coach Academy (ICA) in 2010. She also holds a Master of Arts Degree from Webster University.

In additon to serving in key organizational leadership roles, Karen has taught as an adjunct instructor both undergraduate and graduate-level students management principles and leadership for nonprofits and DEI best practices. She is a 2015 graduate of Focus St. Louis-Leadership St Louis program and currently serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for the St. Louis Chapter of NAMI. Karen has successfully coached her clients utilizing a growth mindset, strengths-based approach and somatic embodiment practices. She is often applauded for her direct approach, authenticity, and ability to inspire others through mindful and transformational leadership based on her personal journey and experience in corporate sales, operations management, human resources, and leadership development.
